  • 10-12/05/2007 - G8-UNESCO World Forum (Trieste)
    The EUChinaGRID, EU-IndiaGrid, EUMEDGRID ed EELA projects on scientific distributed computing took part in G8-UNESCO World Forum on “Education, Research and Innovation: New Partnership for Sustainable Development”, closing the 12 May after three days with high-level presentations including the Italian Prime Minister, Romano Prodi.   • 24-27/04/2007 - 1st International Joint EUChinaGRID & ECHOGRID Conference
    The 1ST Joint EchoGRID & EUChinaGRID International Conference will be held on 24-27 April 2007 at the ICT, Chinese Academy of Science in Beijing, China and will be co-organised with LIAMA and CNIC. EchoGRID and EUChinaGRID offer this conference to promote cross-fertilisation between Grid-related projects and initiatives in Europe and China by interacting with top Grid research and industrial communities, exchange experiences and best practices for Grid middleware and applications interoperability.   • 27-28 Feb 07 - Madrid - First EELA, EUChinaGrid and EUMedGrid Projects' Review
    The First EELA, EUChinaGrid and EUMedGrid Projects' Review is hosted by CIEMAT (Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, MedioAmbientales y Tecnológicas) and will take place at CIEMAT Headquarters in Madrid (Spain).
    Work Packages, External Advisory Committees, EU Project Officers and Reviewers of the three Projects will participate in the Reviews, which will be preceded by preparation meetings and followed by a two-day e-Science Congress on the 1st and the 2nd of March.

  • 18 Sep 06 - Rome - First EUChinaGrid Project Conference
    This is the first EUChinaGrid Project Conference. The event will present the vision of cross-national eInfrastructures as a driving force towards widening the European Research Area and creating a global, virtual space for Research through the adoption of new powerful grid tools and services; it will also provide a picture of the current status of Grid infrastructures and applications in Europe and China, with a special stress on the e-Science applications.

  • 24-25 Jan 06 - Athens - EUChinaGRID Kick-off meeting
    The European Union funded EUChinaGRID Project officially starts: in the next two years an International group of highly motivated experts will interconnect the existing European and Chinese Grid Infrastructures and enable their interoperability, thus creating a network of collaboration between Europe and China around this emerging technology.

HIGHLIGHTS

The EUChinaGRID project officially ended on 31 March 2008, after 27 months of activity and a number of goals achieved.

However, the project consortium is planning further collaboration activities for the next few months.
