-
Globus toolkit (GTK)
This is one of the main components of the grid middleware. On the official document of GKT V3.2 an IPv6 compliance is reported. However, the 6Grid Project reported an IPv6 compliant patched Version 2.2.3 of Globus Toolkit and Shen Jiang of University College of London recommended GTK V3.2.1 for a full IPv6 support (http://www.cs.ucl.ac.uk/staff/s.jiang/webpage/how-to-IPv6-Globus.htm).
-
Condor
There are no official statements about the IPv6 compliance of Condor software, nor of it’s main components like: Condor-C and Condor-G. It’s then our understanding that Condor software is not IPv6 compliant, but on field trials will eventually confirm this ipothesis.
-
LSF by Platform Corporation, is officially declared to be IPv6 compliant and to support a dual IPv4/IPv6 stack (http://www.platform.com/NR/rdonlyres/B5CCBFDC-FCD4-458B-B183-357BB3DFC234/0/PltLSF7_HPC_DS_Oct06.pdf).
-
PBS
There are no official statements about the IPv6 compliance of PBS both in the OpenPBS and PBSpro versions.
-
TOMCAT
The official site reports that Tomcat is IPv6 compliant, but other sources (Sheng JIANG - http://www.cs.ucl.ac.uk/staff/s.jiang/webpage/how-to-IPv6-Globus.htm) recommend Tomcat5 being fully IPv6 compliant.
-
JAVA
Java is already IPv6 compliant on the following OS:Solaris 8 and higher, Linux kernel 2.1.2 and higher (kernel 2.4.0 and higher recommended for better IPv6 support),Windows XP SP1 and Windows 2003. More details about IPv6 could be found in the official document: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/net/ipv6_guide/index.html.
